Join us on our trip to Teruel to take part at the Bodas de Isabel: a revival of the story of “Amantes de Teruel” and the biggest medieval Market in Spain.

This festival is definitely something you should not miss out. It feels like you have been transported back to the year 1217 – not only due to the historical costumes of the over 17,000 participants. The streets of Teruel are turned into streets of a medieval town, full of actors, dancers, riders etc. which organise different acts, like traditional dances, animations, exhibitions, live music and so on. It is the perfect timing to visit Teruel and to enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

 

Trip Itinerary

9:30 - Departure from Valencia
Please arrive 10-15 minutes earlier at the meeting point: AVENIDA ARAGÓN 31 (In front of Mestalla)
11:30 - Arrival to Teruel
Throwback to a different century! On the last day of this festival, the people of Teruel are excited about one special event in particular: the famous kiss in honour of the Lovers of Teruel. But before that, we will see e.g. the “romance del ciego” (romance of the blind) and the “oda a los amantes” (ode to the lovers). Check the YouTube Video below for a sneak peek!
19:30 - Departure from Teruel
We will leave Teruel at around 6:30 PM and will be back in Valencia around 9 PM.

Meeting Point: Avenida Aragón 31 (In front of Mestalla)
