Calpe

Calpe, a beautiful fishermen town with a long history and deeply-rooted traditions, is one of the main tourist destinations on the Costa Blanca. The symbol of the town is the Penyal d’Ifac: a limestone rock, 332 meters high, which rises out of the sea. Visit this beautiful spot with us and be amazed by the gentle sea, perfect climate and a unique view of the Penyal d’Ifac. Don’t forget to bring your camera with you!

Penyal d'Ifac

The Penyal d’Ifac has a long story to tell. As early as the 4th and 3rd centuries BC, people were attracted to this rock. An Iberian settlement was established at the foot of it and later on, the Romans also settled at this special place. Nowadays, however, one will notice another kind of inhabitants: over 60 different bird species use this rock for breeding, resting or wintering. Those of you who are interested in flora and fauna will see that the Natural Park of Penyal d’Ifac offers large, even endemic varieties. It is an interesting and unique spot of nature with a lot to discover. 
To enjoy the perfect view, we will walk one of the trails, which will take us to the perfect viewpoint. We can promise you: the view will leave you speechless.

Trip Itinerary

9:00 AM Departure from Valencia
Please arrive 10-15 minutes earlier at the meeting point: AVENIDA ARAGÓN 31 (In front of Mestalla)
10:30 Arrival to Calpe
After arriving, we will start the hike to the Penyal d´Ífac. Those of you who do not want to go up, can stay at the beach and/or explore the streets of Calpe.
After the Hike - Free time
You will have free time to enjoy the beach, the city and to have dinner.
18:00 Departure
From Calpe we are heading back to Valencia at 18:00.
