Montanejos

Come with us to Montanejos – either to go on a hiking trip of medium-easy difficulty level, to enjoy a rafting or kayaking tour or just to relax at the beautiful water springs, for which Montanejos is known.

Take your swimsuit with you and enjoy taking a bath – the water has an average temperature of 20 – 25 degrees celsius all year round. A perfect refreshment!

Our activities in Montanejos

You can choose between different options:

Hiking:

The tour will take us about approx. 4 hours and has a total length of about 9 kilometres. Besides enjoying some good exercise in a wonderful landscape and rewarding yourself with fantastic views, you will discover why this place is one of the most popular among tourists as well as locals of Valencia. As already mentioned, the highlight of the trip is the famous water springs – there is a legend saying that Abu Zeit, the king of the Moors, built these baths for the queens so that they can a bath and will never lose their beauty. Might be nice to try it out, right?! 
But that is not all. We will also have the chance to enjoy a great view of the city and the Mijares River and we will pass a large spillway. Don’t forget to take your camera with you!

Rafting or Kayaking:

Do you like to explore Montanejos in an adventurous way? Then book either a kayak or rafting tour and discover the lake of Montanejos or the rapids of the river Mijares. Both tours are organised by a sports adventure company and will take about 3 hours.

  • Level of difficulty: Medium-Easy
  • Elevation gain: 498 mts
  • Elevation total (Highest point): 585 mts

Trip Itinerary

09:00 - Departure from Valencia
Please arrive 10-15 minutes earlier at the meeting point: AVENIDA ARAGÓN 31 (In front of Mestalla)
10:30 - Arrival & Start of the activities
We will arrive in Montanejos at approx. 10:30 and start the activities. The group will be separated by activities – those who book kayak, will start their kayaking tour etc.
End of Activities
Time to relax! You can have a picnic right next to the water springs (do not forget to bring some food and drinks with you) and you can even take a bath. We will stay here until 18:00 o’clock.
18:00 / 18:30 - Back to Valencia



Meeting Point: Avenida Aragón 31 (In front of Mestalla)
