The most important events of this festival take place on three days:
On the morning of the first day, the entrance of the Christian army is celebrated. Then, in the afternoon, it is time for the army of the Moors – due to the well-designed costumes and decorations, you will feel transported to another time and place.
The second day is dedicated to San Jorge, the city’s patron. They organize a parade of Moorish and Christian bands.
The ultimate highlight takes place on the third day: the battle of the Arcabucería. This battle between the Moors and the Christians decided on the capture of the city castle. During this event, the city of Alcoi is full of arquebuses and gunpowder.
