Everything in order, submitted on time
Enrolment in Spain involves deadlines, specific documents, and administrative steps that vary from school to school. Missing one requirement can delay your child’s start by weeks.
We guide you through the full enrolment process — preparing the required paperwork, reviewing your documents in advance, and coordinating with schools on your behalf. We make sure everything is complete, compliant, and submitted on time.
1. Understanding the deadlines
Spanish schools — public, concertada, and most private — follow an annual enrolment calendar set by the regional education authority. Missing the official window for public and concertada schools means waiting another year or relying on available places outside the main process. We make sure you know the relevant dates well in advance.
2. Document preparation
Enrolment typically requires a combination of documents: proof of address (empadronamiento), the child’s birth certificate, vaccination records, passport or ID, and in some cases previous school reports or official transcripts. Foreign documents often need to be translated by a sworn translator and in some cases apostilled. We prepare a personalised checklist and review everything before submission.
3. Coordination with schools
We liaise with schools directly where needed — confirming requirements, following up on applications, and making sure nothing is waiting on a miscommunication between you and the administration.
4. Late or mid-year enrolment
Arriving outside the standard enrolment period is common for relocating families. Mid-year enrolment is handled differently and depends on available places. We manage the process and identify the most viable options for your child’s age and level.
